What you need to know!

Hours:

Gates open at 10:00 am – 9:30 pm Saturday and Sunday. Show from 10:30 am – 9:00 pm.

Purpose:

The Salt Spring Music & Garlic Festival was founded to support local education, music and farming. The festival proceeds are allocated to bursaries and grants in these three areas. Please help support three incredibly important facets of Salt Spring Island by visiting the vendor booths, purchasing festival merchandise and most importantly, by attending this great family-oriented, island flavoured event.

Children:

The Salt Spring Music & Garlic Festival is a family event. Children under 12 are free (2 per paying adult). All children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

First Aid:

The first aid tent will be clearly marked on the festival site.

Food and Beverage:

Outside alcohol is not permitted onsite and will be dumped at the gate by security personnel.

No glass bottles or containers of any kind may be brought on site.

BC Ferries

BC Ferries will run an additional sailing on Saturday August 6 and Sunday August 7, 2016 at 9:40 PM from Fulford Harbour to Swartz Bay!

If you wish to volunteer please fill out the volunteer application.

Weather:

The Salt Spring Music & Garlic Festival will take place rain or shine. Please wear appropriate clothing and footwear for the day’s forecast. Bring a hat and sunscreen, there are limited shady spots.

Identification:

All adults that appear under the age of 30 will require two pieces of ID (1 government issued photo ID, and an alternate with name) to acquire the +19 age identifying wrist band. The wrist band is required to consume beverages onsite.

What can I bring?

All bags are subject to search upon entry, at the discretion of security personnel.

Non-Permitted Items:

  • Animals, with the exception of certified assistance dogs
  • Hard coolers
  • Large beach umbrellas
  • Tents
  • Musical Instruments (Except a Ukelele on Sunday August 7, for the Bring your ‘Uke’ workshop).

Restricted Items:

Anyone in possession of any of these items will be subject to ejection:

  • Outside alcohol
  • Drugs/Drug Paraphernalia
  • Knives
  • Weapons of any kind
  • Gang colours, or support gear, including all gang related apparel, not just standard “Colours”.
